Just 18 months after completing a very physical Scoliosis boot camp to help rectify the curvature of her spine, Celine decided this was the time. She wanted to compete again  against other athletes from all around the world. And so, Celine trained her hardest to enter the Jiu Jitsu World Professional Championships held in Abu Dhabi in November 2021.

Since competing and winning a Bronze Medal at the tournament Celine has continued her 2-3 hour daily rigorous home physical therapy regime, which includes weightlifting work, posterior change work, glute work, balance ball, pelvic work and wearing a Scoliosis Activity Suit. It is extremely important that she maintain strength and develop and posture memory and control through exercise, to limit and prevent further progression of her spinal curve support her Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training.

Now aged 16, Celine has reached the Blue Belt status at Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and is competing in tournaments, and regularly winning. In 2022, she won 9 straight tournaments, rebuilding her confidence following her scoliosis diagnosis and proving that she had what it takes to become a force to be reckoned with on the Young Adult Jiu Jitsu circuit.  

It is because of this, Celine knows the difference comfortable and practical active wear can make for low impact exercise, stretching, and intense gym work. The girl’s along with guidance from their sport loving mum conceptualise, design, source and put to the test all the brands activewear ranges.
